Evidence-based approaches are used in counselling with Lucia including a person-centred focus and where suitable:
- Visualisation techniques
- ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy)
- Mindfulness techniques – simply means learning how to be in the present moment, observing oneself, without judgement. It is a practical technique which assists people to ‘think before they act’ or just listen to what we really need in that moment. It’s an easy and portable technique to learn and use.
